1. Who we are
Lot Jacket (lotjacket.ca) is operated by founder Naz Mitchell, based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what choices you have about it. It applies to lotjacket.ca and does not cover the separate product application dealers use once they become customers, which is governed by the terms agreed at signup.
2. What we collect
We only collect what a form on this site actually asks for:

We don't ask for payment information, government ID, or vehicle/customer data through this website — that only happens inside the product itself, for dealers who are customers.
3. How we use it
- To send you the specific thing you asked for — a waitlist confirmation, a demo confirmation, a download link.
- To follow up about scheduling a demo you requested.
- To send the periodic email updates described in Section 4, if you haven't opted out.
- To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site — which pages get read, where visitors come from — so we can improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse (for example, basic spam filtering on form submissions).
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that affect you, and we do not sell it.
4. Email & the drip sequence
If you join the waitlist, we send a welcome email and, over time, a periodic series of short, personal emails from Naz about Lot Jacket — product updates, things we've learned from running real dealerships, occasional invitations to book a demo. These come from a real inbox we read and reply from, not a no-reply address.
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all future emails from us immediately and permanently — we don't re-add addresses that have opted out. We also use a tracking pixel to see whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, which helps us understand what's useful and what isn't — but we never treat a missing “open” as reason to email you more, since open-tracking is unreliable by design (many email clients block or pre-load images regardless of whether you actually looked at the email).
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site and send email. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes:
- Supabase — hosts our database (waitlist and demo-request records).
- Emailit — sends the emails described above and reports delivery/open/click status back to us.
- Google Analytics — provides the aggregate site-usage statistics described in Section 6.
- Vercel — hosts the website itself.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lot Jacket, our users, or the public.
6. Cookies & analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic and usage in aggregate. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser to do this — we don't set any additional tracking cookies of our own. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser's settings. We don't use advertising or retargeting pixels (Facebook, etc.) on this site.
7. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and demo-request information for as long as needed to respond to your request and, if you haven't opted out, to keep sending the periodic updates described in Section 4. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from active use and retain only what a suppression list requires — the minimum needed to make sure we don't email you again.
8. Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- See what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information entirely.
- Unsubscribe from email — use the link in any email, or just ask.
Email naz@lotjacket.ca for any of the above — it's a real, monitored inbox, and we'll handle it directly rather than routing you through a support ticket system.
9. Security
We use reputable service providers (Section 5) who maintain their own security practices, and we limit access to the information we hold to what's needed to run the business. No method of storing or transmitting information online is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
10. Children
Lot Jacket is a B2B product for licensed motor vehicle dealers. This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
